The GeoTech Quarterly, or GQ in short, is the brainchild of the editorial
board. While searching for suitable geomatics/GIS publications
on the Internet, we came up with the idea of publishing a
newsletter to help us introduce ourselves to the market, as well
as share information with our colleagues.
Though
primarily conceived as an introduction to GeoTech, we, as the
editorial board, have decided to extend the content to cover
technological issues in GIS as well. A quick glance at
TechnoloGIS will give you the flavor of recent advances in the
technology of GIS.
You will find
more about the technologies used by us in upcoming issues.
In the middle
of this issue we introduce GeoTech, a geomatics leader in the
Middle East, which comprises a rich portfolio of our completed
projects. You may consider collecting the middle parts of the
magazine, which will provide you with your own, complimentary,
and absolutely free copy of GeoTech’s brief company profile.
All of the
parts of this newsletter, including the design and printing have
been done by the GeoTech Group.
You can also
check the latest GQ announcements and the recent issues through
our website at http://www.ags-group.com/gq. Please take a few
minutes to subscribe so that you will always receive a copy of
GQ, free! Your subscription through the Internet will be faster
and is preferred by us, but we accept subscriptions through
regular mail services also. Your support is vital to motivate us
for future issues.
The editorial
board and content providers have exceeded all expectations,
having contributed their best efforts to support the publication
and realization of this publication.
Needless to
say, this newsletter could not be brought to you without the
strong, kind and encouraging support of the President of the
GeoTech Executive Board, Prof. Dr. Kamil EREN.
My sincere
thanks to all of the contributors for helping put this
publication together.
As the editor
of this newsletter, I would like to welcome you to our first
issue and hope to see you again in the next quarter.
Best wishes.
